What is the age range for participants at ΣymphoΠedia?
The programme is designed for children 7-12 years old
Is previous experience a requirement?
All children must have completed at least one year of lessons on any symphonic instrument. The piano is not a symphonic instrument.
Are all children accepted?
Yes, all children are accepted from all music institution and all cities of Cyprus
What days and times does the programme take place?
Every Saturday from 9:30-13:30 at the Acropolis Lyceum in Nicosia.
Can children from other cities participate?
Yes, the Foundation offers free transportation for children coming from other cities.
Are lessons one-to-one or in groups?
The programme aims to offer children their first music contact with their peers in groups. It is the preparatory stage for their further education in the orchestra that includes rehearsals in groups.
Is there a fee for the programme?
Yes, the monthly fee is 50 euros and you will receive information on the payment method.
What does the programme include?
Except for group lessons, children participate in a rhythmic class ensemble, vocal workshop and at the Children’s Choir of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra.
