Distinguished violinist Wolfgang Schroeder has an active international soloistic career. He has performed both as soloist and chamber musician in numerous countries, including performances in prestigious concert halls such as the Barbican Center in London, the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, the Lincoln Center in New York (“Great Performers Series”) and Wigmore Hall (“Masters Series”). He has also appeared as a soloist with the Bavarian Chamber Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, Czech Symphony Orchestra, Polish Chamber Philharmonic, Salzburg Chamber Philharmonic, Camerata Salzburg, Nuremberg Symphony, Cairo Symphony Orchestra, Israel Soloists Ensemble etc. As an active chamber musician, he founded the “Belcanto String Trio” in 1992 and since 1996 he has regularly performed as the violinist of the “Trio Parnassus”. In September 2001 the “Trio Parnassus” received the prestigious Echo Classic Award for their complete recording of the Schumann piano trios, together with artists such as Jose Carreras, Nigel Kennedy and Cecilia Bartoli. Since 1998 he has been leading the “Camerata Stuttgart”, with which he has performed in prestigious concert halls such as the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, Athens Megaron, Liederhalle of Stuttgart and the Dortmund Opera House. He has collaborated with distinguished artists such as Yehudi Menuhin, Alberto Lysy, Cyprien Katsaris and Hermann Voss. He was also the artistic director of the European Community Chamber Orchestra (ECCO) from 1993-95 and has performed in a number of highly acclaimed concert tours worldwide. Wolfgang Schroeder has made recordings under MDG, Divox, Ars Production, Torofon, Symicon and CPO labels. His latest CD recordings include the complete Beethoven piano trios, the complete Schumann piano trios, Turina and Mendelssohn piano trios and Tanejev’s string trio. Wolfgang Schroeder is the concertmaster of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra since January 2005.

Svetlana Ristic was born in Belgrade, Serbia. After completing her music high school education she entered the Belgrade Music Academy and obtained her Bachelor’s degree, specialisation Flute with Professor Miodrag Azanjac. Thereafter, she specialized in France, attending flute master classes and chamber music courses held by Professors Christion Làrdè and Huguette Dreyfus. Ms Ristić has been a laureate of many Music High School and Music Academy competitions and a winner of prestigious awards. As an established soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra musician she has performed recitals and concerts at various venues and festivals, giving over 200 performances. She has performed with the Serbia Symphony Orchestra and the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the ensembles “Pro Musica”, “Dušan Skovran”, Flute Choir, Baroque Trio, and the “Belgrade Baroque Quartet”, which she founded and has led, and for which she has been nominated twice for the City of Belgrade distinguished October Award. Numerous excellent reviews reflect her high level of artistry. In addition, she is a prominent member of many juries in several music competitions. Besides holding the position of full-time associate of the Belgrade Philharmonic and Yugoslav Military Orchestras, Ms Ristic has appeared in guest performances in Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Russia, Germany, France, Mexico, England, Greece (incl. the International Chamber Concert of the North-South Cycle, Athens), and Cyprus. She has practically presented the entire flute music repertoire, ranging from the Baroque to Contemporary times. A significant part of her performances is devoted to works by Yugoslav composers and to baroque music. Ms Ristić has recorded extensively for the Belgrade Radio Television (about 50 recordings of solo and chamber music and over 200 recordings of orchestra music) as well as for other radio and television stations throughout Yugoslavia. She has also released three records, including one with the “Belgrade Baroque Quartet” released by the Radio Television of Serbia Gramophone Records Production in 1989, and three CDs. Since 1978, Svetlana Ristić has held the position of Principal Flutist – Soloist of the Radio Television of Serbia Symphony Orchestra in Belgrade. In 1997 she was appointed Principal Flutist of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.

Gerd Amelung was born in 1975. He studied the harpsichord, clavichord and basso continuo. He was awarded second prize at the “Grand Scholarship Competition of the Munich Concert Society 2003”, won the “Graun Brothers Prize 2003”, is laureate of the “Prussian Cultural Heritage Fund of Berlin” and received a scholarship of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for his postgraduate studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Since 2004 he works as a freelance harpsichordist and performs regularly with a number of baroque orchestras such as the Berlin Academy of Early Music, the “Lute Ensemble” (“Lautten Compagney”), the Basel Chamber Orchestra and “RIAS Chamber Choir”. He has performed all over Europe in concerts and for the radio. He has made several radio and CD recordings and has recorded live for both for the German and Swiss Radio. As a soloist, he has appeared with the Chamber Academy of Potsdam and the Basel Chamber Orchestra. An important part of his artistic work is the preparation of opera productions as well as small scale baroque chamber music. Since 2003, he teaches baroque performance practice for singers and harpsichord players for baroque ensembles, at the German Federal Music Academy of Rheinsberg.
