‘Prometheas’ String Quartet maintains a rich concert activity in the field of classical music, both in Cyprus as well as abroad, including a number of very successful Cyprus premieres.
‘Winter Dreams’ – one of their four projects focusing on the four seasons – will take you on a dreamlike journey from Antonio Vivaldi’s ‘Winter’ concerto to Astor Piazzolla’s ‘Winter’ (Invierno porteno), travelling through popular works by various composers, infused with the colours and sensations of Winter. To give you a glimpse, these include Brahms’ Hungarian Dance no. 1, Rachmaninov’s Vocalise, Spanish Dance no. 5 by Granados and Sibelius’ Valse triste, arranged for string quartet. This is a truly inspired programme that will keep you mesmerized!
