The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce the return of the stunning Ukrainian pianist Igor Tchetuev whose inspiring performance astonished our audience last year. Conducted by the world-renowned Charles Olivieri-Munroe, the celebrated pianist will perform the legendary Third Piano Concerto by Sergei Rachmaninov, one of the most demanding works of all times in the pianistic repertory. Yet another Russian masterpiece completes the programme: Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no. 4 which explores the concept of faith. The composer himself confessed, “I adore terribly this child of mine. It is one of only a few works with which I have not experienced disappointment. This is my best symphonic work”.
